Teaching.
Oli has over 10 years of professional teaching experience and has worked in schools all over Buckinghamshire as well as doing private lessons in Aylesbury. He is experienced with teaching all age groups and has previously helped students attain grade 1 through to 8 drums. He has dedicated a lot of his time between gigs to teaching and educating the next generation of drummers. Early on he teamed up with 'Roland' to demonstrate and teach at the world-famous 'Harrods' in London. In 2003 he began his working relationship with Gigajam interactive music school. Using Gigajams award-winning 'essential skills course' has allowed his lessons to be interactive, imaginative, and most importantly great fun.
After his 4 years at drumtech Oli graduated and set up a teaching business based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. With a desire to help students understand the importance of reading music, understanding genres, developing great timekeeping, and applying solid technique to creativity, he managed to build the business to great success and a fantastic local reputation. One thing that continues to give him pride is the number of students that he still knows to this day and those that have progressed onto play drums in local bands and professionally on tours.
During Co-vid19 Oli is currently providing online lessons (via Zoom).
